New plasterboard linings upgraded to achieve required Fire Rating Level
Part of the brief for this iconic Sydney pub upgrade, was to try and retain as many of the Heritage features as possible while still achieving the fire rating requirements.
The Main Barracks building was constructed of Hawkesbury sandstone by convicts between 1841 and 1846. The first building completed was the Officers’ Quarters which was completed in 1842.
Traditional timber panelling was retained with the CAP508 system providing an ignition and flame spread barrier to the coated surfaces.
CAP Coatings CAP508 fire rated paint technology offers a cost effective non-destructive
alternative to achieving fire ratings on existing ceilings to comply with Council fire order upgrades.
