Specific timber and plasterboard areas in this building were identified as to requiring additional Fire Ratings as part of major upgrade works.
Retaining the Heritage features of the timber areas was paramount. The CAP508 system was used to increase the FRL and reduce risk to timber panels and doors as well as achieve an FRL of 60/60/60 to plasterboard ceilings.
CAP Coatings thin film technology allowed a solution where the fire engineering requirements were met with minimal impact to the original heritage features.
