Large tenanted multi-story apartment blocks provide a multitude of challenges when a fire upgrade must be carried out on the building for it to comply with current standards. Fire separation between floors is required as was the case with this project.
CAP Coatings and CAP Coatings’ approved applicators provided a complete service, liaising with strata managers, owners, project managers, Council, certifiers and fire engineers to provide a solution that met the fire rating requirements but also was able to be implemented with the least amount of disruption to occupants. A detailed time line of works was developed which ensured the project was effectively and efficiently implemented.
Original ceilings were fire rated and retained without the mess and disruption of replacing ceilings with fire rated linings.
