The client wanted to improve the fire rating of the underside of the existing timber floor to achieve a separation from the basement car park below to the first floor above.
Applying the CAP508 intumescent paint system provided an alternate solution to lining the ceilings with fire rated linings and still achieving the required performance requirements.
The timber profile was retained and the project was completed over night and weekend shifts so that the works were carried out efficiently without impacting the client and users of the car park.
